Sega Genesis - Sega Mega DriveSega Genesis - nazwa amerykańska albo Mega Drive - tak była znana w reszcie świata, to pierwsza w pełni 16-bitowa konsolka, która swoją premierę miała w Japonii (gdzieżby indziej) w roku 1988. Szczyt popularności Genesis przypada na początek lat '90 - wtedy to sprzedano większość z wyprodukowanych prawie 30 mln jej egzemplarzy, ukazały się setki (w sumie powstało ich około 1000) gier. Za koniec Genesis można uznać ukazanie się Nintendowego SNES-a, który przejął rynek konsol w tamtym okresie. |
